Northern Design Awards
14 September 2014
We were thrilled at Harpers Interiors to be finalists in the 11th Northern Design Awards and delighted to be named runner up in the category of 'Best Room 2013' for our interior design work on a client's English farmhouse lounge (see our portfolio piece English Farmhouse).
The Northern Design Awards, celebrated the achievements of the cream of the region’s design scene, with a glamorous awards ceremony in Manchester. We enjoyed an evening of fine dining and entertainment against the stunning backdrop of the Monastery whilst anticipation mounted for the awards ceremony to begin.
Hemingway Designs partnered with the Northern Design Awards, with show organiser Shelley Bond and Wayne Hemingway cohosting the event. Wayne Hemingway, said of the relationship: “We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting event which celebrates the very brightest northern design businesses. The evening was a true gathering of the best the north of the UK has to offer the industry”.
The judging for the Northern Design Awards has historically been overseen by a respected panel of judges, all of whom are experts in their fields. The panel comprised of Sir Terence Conran, Diarmuid Gavin, Jan Constantine, Geoff Alsop (RIBA Chairman) for architecture, Wayne Hemingway, Nick Munro, Linda Barker and LIVINGETC Editor Suzanne Imre.
We're delighted for our work at Harper's Interiors to be recognised in this way and to have won such a prestigious award for something we love doing.
